Gang stole €20 takings off street musician

A BUSKER in Dublin's Grafton Street was threatened by a gang who stole the money he had earned that night, a court heard.

Bridget Conroy (21) was part of a gang of four who stole €20 from the busker.

Judge Patricia McNamara ordered a probation report and remanded Conroy in custody to tomorrow.

The defendant, with addresses at Huntstown Wood, Blanchardstown, and Castlerea, Co Roscommon, admitted before Dublin District Court to stealing €20 last July 13.

Sgt Peter Seery said Conroy was part of a group who threatened a busker in Grafton Street and stole €20 from him.

Solicitor Evan Murtagh said mother-of-two Conroy wanted to go into custody to work with the probation services.
