Gardai are investigating a serious gang attack in which a teenager was stabbed and attacked with golf clubs.

The incident occurred on St Agnes Rd, Crumlin, at around 7.30pm yesterday.

The Herald has learned that three cars arrived at the scene, before a group of males got out and began attacking the 19-year-old victim.

A source said weapons - including knives, golf clubs and bats - were used in what has been described as a "targeted attack".

The victim received a number of knife wounds to his legs and was transferred to St James's Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It is believed up to ten men may have been involved in the serious assault.

Officers from Crumlin Garda Station have launched an investigation with no arrests as of yet.
