Funnyman Porter to pen his own book

comedy

If you're a fan of Dublin comedian Al Porter then you'll be delighted to hear that the comic is set to pen his own book.

The Tallaght native is currently putting together a book that features all kinds of hilarious confessional stories from a host of different people.

"I'm trying to write a book at the moment. I like to write - not that I'm any good at it - I'm writing the Olympia Theatre's panto at Christmas as well. It's called Freeeezin' and I'll be the Dame in it - it'll be my 11th panto," he said.

"The book is going to be all about funny confessions that people make throughout their lives," he told the Diary.

"It'll be everything from admitting to your mate that you left their cat out when you were supposed to be minding it or coming out stories and things like that," he added.

The 22-year-old will make his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year, and also had two sold-out stand-up shows at Vicar Street.

He also appears on the Colm Hayes show on 2fm.
