FUNERALS for the two victims of the Longford DIY store tragedy will take place tomorrow.
Sean Mulleady (47, inset) and Paddy Gaffney (65) were killed when a wall fell on them during a freak accident
They were shopping at the Connacht Gold store in Longford when an internal 40ft wall came crashing down.
A third man, who worked at the store, is in a critical condition in hospital today.
An investigation into the cause of the fall is underway.
Mr Gaffney, from Tarmonbarry in Co Roscommon, was trapped in the rubble while his wife Patsy had been waiting for him in the carpark.
After the accident, Mrs Gaffney rushed inside and stayed by her husband's side comforting him until emergency services removed him to hospital. He died a number of hours later from his injuries.
Members of the Gaffney family told of their heartbreak yesterday as they planned the funeral for the father and grandfather.
"We are just heartbroken. He was absolutely loved by everyone," said his daughter-in-law Bernadette.
Father-of-three Sean Mulleady (47) died soon after the wall collapse as a result of his injuries at Midlands Regional Hospital.
