five-star luxury where suites cost €1,000 per night

The luxury Castlemartyr Resort was originally a manor home when it was built in he 17th century.

The resort in east cork sits adjacent to ruins of an 800-year-old castle.

The beautiful venue was once a convent before it was transformed into a six star hotel following an extensive redevelopment under the Capella brand.

The hotel operated under the Dromoland brand before emerging as an independent luxury resort three years ago.

The 5 star hotel includes a spa with 10 treatment rooms, a fitness studio, and a Ron Kirby- designed golf course.

The hotel offers 103 guest rooms, suites and self catering accommodation.

The spacious rooms feature free Wi-Fi, an en suite bathroom, luxurious furniture, flat-screen TV, and stunning views of the hotel and grounds.

It is thought that Kim and Kanye have checked into the Presidential Suite’ which has its own separate sitting room, dining room and elevator. Their meals can be delivered directly to the room and they can enjoy access to their own private sauna. This room will set you back to €1,000 per night.

But if the couple want to mingle with guests, there are several dining options - the Bell Tower Restaurant serving modern Irish cuisine with a twist, an Italian casual dining restaurant, Franchini’s and the Knights Bar.
