Fine Gael came under fire for it's treatment of women this year when it came to promotions - but it was smiles all round at the annual ladies lunch.
The party's doyennes met at the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel for the event.
Among the most high-profile of the women attendees was Fionnuala Kenny, wife of the Taoiseach.
Dun Laoghaire TD Mary Mitchell O'Connor joined colleagues including Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald for the event billed to promote women in politics.
It's been a difficult few months for the party - and not just because of the ongoing water debacle which has led to mass protests.
The spotlight has been on the party's treatment of women after female members were overlooked for key positions and promotions in recent months.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny came under criticism from the National Women's Council, among others, for his failure to promote any women to the junior ministerial ranks in his July reshuffle.
And there was also outrage in September when it emerged that three women candidates were in the running for a Seanad nomination, but were all were overlooked.
Women who represent the Fine Gael party, as well as those who support it, gathered for the lunch at the Ballsbridge venue.
