Film festival alive with sound of Julie Andrews
The Sound of Music star Julie Andrews is coming to the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival (JDIFF) for two special events to close the festival.
The star will take part in a public interview with Lyric FM's Aedin Gormley at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre and will later close the festival with a gala screening of her most famous film at the Savoy.
Festival director Grainne Humphreys said it was a "great honour" to welcome one of the legends of stage and screen to Dublin.
"Of all the illustrious guests who have attended the festival, few have brought such happiness to so many film fans," she said.
Other A-listers also confirmed to attend the festival are Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall and Gladiator actor Russell Crowe.
The festival runs from March 19 to 29.
