FFF True-blue stars Aslan will be forsaking their usual Dublin stomping ground to take to the stage at the Cork Opera House next month.

The troubadours will be performing for their fans in the rebel county on Saturday November 15, their first gig in the city in over two years following on from Christy Dignam's cancer diagnosis.

The band is now back to what they do best, having recently played three sold out shows in the Olympia Theatre.

FFF Fr Ted star Ardal O'Hanlon (inset) will be doing the honours next week at a book launch in the Royal Irish Academy on Dawson Street. The actor, who played Fr Dougal in the hit series, will be helping unveil the latest book from Fr Micheal Mac Greil. The former Sociology lecturer at Maynooth College has put pen to paper to produce The Ongoing Present with the launch taking place on Wednesday October 8.

FFF The pair behind one of the big hits of the summer Stolen Dance, namely Milky Chance, have just announced details of their debut Irish performance at Dublin's Button Factory.

The news follows an incredible year for the duo whose video has clocked up 71 million views on YouTube. Fans will have the chance to catch them in action when they perform on February 5, 2015 with tickets on sale from today.

FFF Equestrian fans will be out in force this month for an invite-only launch at Punchestown racecourse in Kildare.

Familiar faces will be pressing the flesh in the venue on October 15 for the launch of the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund, which was set up for the professional riders and apprentices who have suffered serious falls.
