fff Christmas will be coming to Dublin Zoo from Sunday, November 30, until Christmas Eve. Santa will be visiting the Zoo every weekend throughout December, so bring the family along for some festive fun at one of Ireland's top attractions. Each child will receive entry to the grotto experience, a visit with Santa, a gift and a photo. General entry rates to Dublin Zoo apply and to visit Santa costs €9 per child. fff On Sunday O'Connell Street will host the biggest gathering of Christmas jumper wearers to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation and attempt to break the world record for the most Christmas jumpers in the same place at the same time. The event will coincide with the switching on of O'Connell Street's Christmas Tree by Lord Mayor Christy Burke and from 3pm there will be on-street entertainment, performances, and a festive choir.

fff Father Christmas will be arriving at the Powerscourt Town Centre from Saturday. Filled with 18th century charm, Father Christmas' den and workroom is a must see for all the family. Entry is only €12 and includes a photo with Father Christmas and a unique gift, plus a donation is given to the Simon Community.

fff Following its successful run at the Smock Alley Theatre, Joe Prop is taking to the stage at Axis: Ballymun from December 10 to 12. Directed by Karl Shiels and starring Fair City's Maclean Burke, the show also features voice-over cameos from a host of rugby personalities including George Hook, Brent Pope and Ryle Nugent. Tickets are €15 and 10pc of all ticket sales will be donated to Barnardos as well as all proceeds from the December 12 performance.
