Fashion is a family affair for Costelloe
It was a family affair at London Fashion Week for Irish designer Paul Costelloe when his daughter Jessica strutted her stuff on the catwalk.
The statuesque redhead was on hand to help display her dad's autumn-winter 2011 collection.
But don't expect her to become a regular sight in the modelling world.
The 24-year-old may be passionate about the arts, but she insisted that her interest lies in music rather than fashion. "It was my first time on the catwalk and while it was a wonderful experience and I was very proud to do it, it will probably be my last time too," she said.
"I have never modelled clothes before but it did not feel strange to be on the catwalk.
"I was brought up looking at fashion shows so I suppose it was in me."
The gorgeous red-head recently graduated from the world-renowned Juilliard School in New York, where she studied vocal arts.
She has also trained for her chosen career at the Royal Academy of Music and has turned down many offers to become a model so she can pursue opera singing.
"I did not want to get distracted from my main focus, which was music," she said.
Jessica is Paul Costello's middle child. The Dublin-born London-based designer also has six sons with his wife Anne.
This year, the 65-year-old fashion guru focused on natural fabrics and tartan.
"It is about being proud of our surrounding islands and making the most of our incredible creativity and resources," he said.
"I have got a very good response from the show. The rag trade is still tough going but being optimistic is half of the battle.
"You can blame everybody but sometimes you have just got to look at yourself and the problem could be there."
Meanwhile, MTV presenter Laura Whitmore was spotted at the Maria Grachvogel catwalk this week. The Bray beauty said that the show was "stunning".
