Exports still good

THERE is little evidence that the contraction in euro area GDP in quarter four is pushing down export demand here.

Central Statistics Office figures show Irish goods exports fell from €8.25bn in November to €7.5bn in December.

But the value of Irish goods exports rose by 2.4pc in quarter four over quarter three to €4bn, up from €3.7bn in November.
