Eurprice seeks to be wound up

THE High Court has appointed a provisional liquidator to a chain of discount stores that employs 69 people.

The directors of Eurprice Ltd, which has eight stores mainly in the south east, are seeking to have the company wound up because it is no longer able to compete with rivals operating a similar business model.

The court heard that the company is hopeful that the provisional liquidator will be able to sell the business and save the jobs.

Eurprice with a registered address at The Moyne Business Park, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford owed more than €180,000 in PAYE and VAT, which it was unable to meet.
