European stocks on rise

European stocks rose yesterday ahead of the Scottish referendum and a Federal Reserve policy decision in America. Eight straight days of losses ended with a slight rebound, as investors are optimistic that central bankers, including the Fed, will continue to loosen money policies.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index climbed 0.6pc to 344.82 at midday.

In Dublin, mobile phone services company Zamano was up 10.48pc to 11.6 cents by mid afternoon.
