EU pledge on tax rate
THE EU is not looking to interfere in Ireland's low corporate tax rate, according to representatives from the Dublin Chamber in Brussels.
Assurances were provided to Brian Lenihan, pictured, following meetings with senior EU officials and politicians.
The Dublin Chamber is currently leading a trade delegation in Brussels, which will be representing Ireland at the European Parliament of Enterprises.
The rate of corporate tax is not one that the European Commission will become involved in as part of the four year budget review, they were told.
