EU inflation lowest here

IRELAND has the lowest rate of inflation in Europe at just 1pc, as new figures show Eurozone inflation fell to 2.5pc in July.

The lowest 12-month average was also registered in Ireland, 0.3pc, followed by Sweden, 1.6pc. In June, the annual rate of price rises was 2.7pc, although economists at the EU's statistics agency said the fall was partly due to statistical changes.
