Etihad look at GAA deal

AIRLINE group Etihad is due to make a decision on whether to continue its multimillion euro sponsorship of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship by the end of the month.

Etihad, which was one of three backers, including RTE and Guinness, extended its involvement last year for an additional 12 months.

The chief executive of Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad, James Hogan, said that the link with the GAA had been important in building Etihad's brand here.
