ESB men injured in gas explosion
TWO ESB workers managed to escape serious harm when a city gas main exploded over the weekend.
The two men suffered minor injuries in the explosion which happened near a petrol station on the Knocklyon Road in South Dublin on Saturday.
It is suspected that work being carried out in the area disturbed the gas line causing the fire.
It is expected that both the ESB and Gas Networks Ireland will also have a role to play in any probe into the cause of the fire.
