Eoghan McDermott sets his sights abroad as he records TV pilot
Eoghan McDermott has just landed the drive-time slot on 2fm, but he hasn't giving up on his dream of making it abroad.
The perfectly-coiffed presenter is still over and back to London and recorded a test run for a potential new UK game show recently.
"I was asked to film a pilot for a television show," he said.
"The production company in the UK that makes Gogglebox want to make another TV production and put it on ITV, BBC or Channel 4 or somewhere.
"They said: 'Hey, we like what you are doing on telly, do you want to present the pilot for this show?'
"I said 'Yes absolutely, it'll be a laugh'.
"It is kind of like a Million Pound Drop-ish.
"It's a studio game show and people try to win money by answering questions," he added.
The 31-year-old (right) is currently presenting the Junior Eurovision contest on TG4.
"I presented Pop 4 for years. TG4 gave me my break, so it's great to be back," he told the Diary.
