Irish Hollyoaks actor Emmett Scanlan (36) has lifted the lid on his New York wedding to actress Claire Cooper.
The Dubliner, who first met Claire while filming the Channel 5 soap, walked down the aisle in the Big Apple on New Year's Eve.
He joked that he chose the date himself so he "wouldn't forget the anniversary".
And he said he and Claire (35) had an amazing day.
"Everyone got behind the wedding with such love that it was overwhelming at times. It's something I'll never forget," he said.
He and Claire, who featured in this month's Hello magazine, started dating in late 2010.
Smitten Emmett, who won awards for his portrayal of bad-boy Brendan Brady on Hollyoaks, went down on one knee on Christmas Eve 2014 and made things official a year later.
The wedding, which had a theme of "chic and Bohemian and was attended by many of the couple's Hollyoaks co-stars, was held in a former warehouse with stunning views of New York.
Speaking about her eye-catching dress, Claire, who played Jacqui McQueen in Hollyoaks, said she went with her instincts when it came to the gown created by Claire Mischevani.
Made from duchess satin and embellished with lace and vintage crystals, it took hundreds of painstaking hours to make, and Claire said it was "just perfect" for her big day.
"I think you have to listen to your heart," she said. "I've watched so many episodes of Say Yes to the Dress - it's my guilty pleasure - and I'm mortified at how hideous friends and family can be.
"I hasten to add that no one I know would be like that, but I felt that I needed to do my dress fittings by myself."
Emmett looked very handsome in a dark three-piece suit, and the couple went for Pharell Williams' song, Happy, for their first dance.
