EMI may be sold off
RENOWNED music giant, the EMI Group, is now considering a sale or a potential stock market listing as part of its strategic review of the business.
However, the company insisted there was no assurance the review would result in a deal.
The company is currently split into two divisions, recording and publishing.
Earlier this year, investment bank Citigroup seized full control of the company from financier Guy Hands, whose private equity vehicle Terra Firm bought EMI in 2007 for £4.2bn.
