Talk about a musical tour de force.

On Saturday night music fans were treated to quite the performance when Ed Sheeran joined The Rolling Stones on stage.

The Stones were on the Kansas City date of their Zip Code tour when the Thinking Out Loud singer sang with them.

Ed opened for the Stones at the Arrowhead Stadium, before playing with the band for a rendition of Beast of Burden during their set.

The 24-year-old was clearly excited to be joining the legendary rock stars as he grabbed a selfie with them moments after they got off stage [right].

"Just sung a song on stage with these ladz," he captioned the picture.

Ed is in the middle of his X tour, which started almost a year ago.

He will play a series of dates in North America before heading back to the UK for dates at Wembley Stadium in July.


After that his Irish fans are in for a treat, as he will play two sold-out show in Croke Park on July 24 and 25.

His acclaimed second album recently celebrated over a year in the Irish charts.

The record has remained in the top 10 for 53 weeks and may still be there when he plays in Croke Park.

The album, which was last year's biggest-selling album, hit the number one spot 12 times. It is also the number one streamed album globally.
