e475m EU green cash

IRISH banks are due to receive €300m to lend to SMEs at preferential rates from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

The EIB has signed agreements worth over €60bn, €53bn for projects in the EU.

A total of €475m went to Ireland for projects such as wind energy generation.

The bank provides finance for green energy projects.
