Dunblane man on rape charge
A survivor of the Dunblane massacre who tried to rape a pensioner in her own home was expected to be sentenced today.
Ryan Liddell attacked the 76-year-old at her house in the Stirlingshire town on June 14, 2010.
Liddell (20) had denied the charges against him but was convicted by a jury in June last year of assaulting the woman with intent to rape her, putting her life in danger. Liddell, from Dunblane, was due to appear at the High Court in Aberdeen for sentencing today.
