Dubliners get a new distillery
The Teeling Whiskey Company is opening the first new Irish whiskey distillery in Dublin in 125 years, a court heard.
Managing director Jack Teeling was granted a seven-day on-licence at the Circuit Civil Court yesterday, which allows the consumption of whiskies on the premises.
The distillery has the capacity to produce 500,000 litres of whiskey a year. The visitor centre expects 40,000 to 50,000 visitors in its first year, increasing to 100,000 visitors.
