Drugs rap for two at Kennedy hotel bash
Two people were arrested for drugs offences when German police raided a party hosted by violinist Nigel Kennedy, a spokesman for the force said today.
It is understood the classical musician was not one of the pair arrested during the incident at a hotel in Bavaria on Sunday.
His manager Terri Robson said the party in Kennedy's hotel suite was attended by members of the Czech Janacek Philharmonic Orchestra who had just performed with the star at the Festival of Nations.
She said: "A guest at the hotel complained about the noise and called the police and they searched the rooms, and they searched Nigel's suite where the party was happening but he was not involved at all."
Local police spokesman Alexander Resch said the pair could face charges for possession of banned substances.
Kennedy divides his time between homes in London and Poland.
