A 15-YEAR-OLD boy ransacked a care home causing damages costing €1,200, and put its staff in fear for their safety, a court has heard.

Garda Lucy Woods told the court that the teenager broke windows and a computer in the house. A care worker said the incident started when the boy and another child refused to take directions.

Judge Heather Perrin granted bail and remanded him to appear again on June 10.
