Drugs firm axes 120
PHARMACEUTICAL giant GlaxoSmithKline is slashing its workforce in Cork by more than 120 people.
The company said there had been a fall-off in demand for its products and the job cuts were unavoidable.
A review of manufacturing at the site in Currabinny in Cork has been ongoing for some time. GlaxoSmithKline currently employs 460 people in manufacturing, research and development.
