DPP gets Anglo file
A THIRD set of files in relation to the Anglo Irish investigation have been passed to the DPP.
The Director of Corporate Enforcement Paul Appleby said that the latest batch related to loans to Anglo's directors.
And he noted that there had been "good progress" with the probe.
He said the file related to "the suspected failure of Anglo to maintain a register of loan and related transactions which the Bank had with its directors and with persons connected with its directors".
"I can now confirm that this file which relates to pre-2009 periods was sent to the DPP last month," he added.
"The decision of the DPP on this suspected offence will follow in due course."
