D'Arcy joins hunt for 'big blonde' thief

RADIO star Ray D'Arcy has joined in the search for a thief described as a "hefty blonde lady" with "Herculean strength" who robbed four heavy cylinders of gas from a shop.

The Today FM DJ appealed for information to help gardai in Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick, in the search for the brazen robber.

The tall female in her 20s was picked up on CCTV lifting four heavy bottles of gas on to a car roof rack outside 'Moss the Farmer's' Spar shop on the Killarney Road.

The woman then drove off without paying for the gas and hasn't been seen since.

A spokesperson for the gardai said: "We went through CCTV we got from the store and it was of very poor quality. All we got from it was that she was driving a green car which seemed to be a Toyota Avensis."

A wanted person alert has been put on the Garda pulse system for a suspect described as "a hefty blonde lady".
