Dad-of-four swore at gardai, court hears
A FATHER of four who was banging at the front door of his mother's house is not welcome there when he has been drinking, a court heard.
David McCabe (41) also told gardai to "p*** off".
Judge Dermot Dempsey ordered McCabe to complete 240 hours' community service in lieu of two months in prison.
The defendant, of Holywell Drive in Swords, admitted before Swords court to failing to follow directions of gardai.
Garda Amanda King said McCabe, an unemployed labourer, was banging on the window and front door of his mother's house at Cherry Avenue in Swords at 4.30am on March 23.
He was directed to leave the area but he told Gda King to "p*** off" as he had nowhere else to go.
The court heard McCabe has battled a drink problem.
