Dad arrested during garda raid charged over €7k drugs haul
A man arrested by gardai during a search of a house in west Dublin has been charged with having drugs worth nearly €7,000.
Junior Adeymi (21), from Deerhaven View, Clonee, was charged at Blanchardstown District Court with possession of cocaine and cannabis, as well as possession for the purposes of sale or supply to others, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Judge David McHugh heard that father-of-one Mr Adeymi was arrested last Friday at his home.
The operation was carried out by the District Detective Unit and Community Action Team in Dublin 15.
Cocaine in various deals, with an estimated street value of €6,800, was recovered in the search. Mr Adeymi applied for bail and this was not contested by gardai on the basis that certain conditions would be attached.
He was ordered to sign on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Blanchardstown Garda Station, surrender his passport to gardai, provide gardai with a mobile telephone number he can be contacted on, and pay a cash bond of €100.
He also has to reside at his address in Deerhaven View.
Mr Adeymi will appear in court again on December 18.
