Czechs a nation of beauties... and tough footballers

THEY may have given us supermodels like Petra Nemcova and Eva Herzigova -- but the finest thing the Czechs have to offer will be at the Aviva tonight.

The Czech side are regarded as the perfect rehearsal for our crunch tie with Croatia in Poznan in June as Trap finalises his battle plan for Euro 2012.

Over 35,000 fans in green will pass the turnstiles tonight to see Giovanni Trapattoni's team in action with just 100 days to go until Euro 2012. Tonight's clash will be the second last time Ireland play at the Aviva before departing for Poland and their date with destiny at our first major championships since the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. While Trap has gone for his strongest 11 to start but most fans will be looking to catch a first glimpse of Sunderland sensation James McClean as he hopes to book a place on the plane.

We'll also be keeping a close eye on our Group C opponents with Irish legend Mick Martin spying on the Spaniards as they take on Venezuela in Malaga and FAI representatives watching Croatia take on Sweden, while Italy host the USA in Genoa.

With captain Robbie Keane back in goalscoring form and Ireland's Premier League stars in rude health, Trap will be hoping that they complete the first half of a winning send-off tonight.
