Youth punched woman in breast

A YOUTH who punched a woman on her breast as she was crossing the Ha'penny Bridge in Dublin has been remanded on bail pending sentence.

Dublin Children's Court heard the victim was left bruised and in pain for days after a 17-year-old lashed out at her in a drink-fuelled unprovoked attack.

On Thursday, her attacker, now aged 18, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to the woman, on June 28 last. He also admitted behaving violently at Pearse Street Garda Station following his arrest.

He will appear again on a date in March for sentencing.

5 years for gun hand-over man

A MAN has been jailed for five years at the Special Criminal Court for the possession of a magnum revolver and ammunition.
