Woman faces trial for €43k theft
A WOMAN accused of stealing more than €40,000 in cash and forging signatures on cheques is facing trial on the charges.
Carol Cormack (48) is alleged to have stolen some €43,158 between 2008 and 2011.
Judge David McHugh adjourned the matter to a date in February for the service of the book of evidence. The accused, of Dean Swift Green in Glasnevin, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with more than 80 counts of theft and forgery.
She is also accused of stealing cash from several Bank of Ireland branches in Dublin.
The court also heard there was no application for legal aid, but Cormack expects to be in a position to apply for legal aid on the next court date.
