Two suspects given bail over cab charge
A YOUNG man has appeared in court charged in connection with the alleged theft of a taxi at knifepoint in the west of the city.
Liam Mallen (21) is charged with using a knife and taking the car, while a second man, Louis Parsons, is accused of being a passenger in a stolen car.
They were both remanded on continuing bail when they appeared in Blanchardstown District Court.
Mallen, with an address at Alpine Heights, Clondalkin, is charged with producing a knife while committing an offence and unauthorised taking and use of a vehicle.
