A TEENAGER has appeared in court accused of trashing a hotel room in west Dublin.

Alessandra Bortolozzo (19) is alleged to have smashed a TV and furniture, causing more than €1,900 worth of damage in the incident.

The case against him was adjourned at Blanchardstown District Court.

Bortolozzo, with an address at The Vine House, West End, Banagher, Co Offaly, is charged with causing criminal damage to various items in a room at City West Hotel, Saggart (below) on October 20 last.

He is further charged with public intoxication, causing a breach of the peace and trespassing in a manner likely to cause fear in the same incident.

Judge David McHugh accepted jurisdiction to deal with the case at District Court level.

He granted an order for disclosure of prosecution documents to the defence and adjourned the case to December 19.
