A teenager has admit- ted assaulting and injur- ing a friend in a super- market.

Charmaine Craig (19) had the case against her adjourned when she entered her guilty plea to the charge at Blanchardstown District Court.

Craig, with an address at Shancastle Drive, Clondalkin, pleaded guilty to one count of assault causing harm.

The court heard the incident happened at Super- Valu, Neilstown Road, Clondalkin, on July 5 last year.

Craig's lawyer told Judge Dermot Simms that both parties knew each other and were friends.

Evidence

He asked the judge to mark a plea of guilty and adjourn the case so mitigation could be given on the next date, before it is finalised.

Gda Sgt Geraldine McManigan consented to this.

No evidence of the assault was presented in court.

Judge Simms adjourned the case to October 4, for the facts and a plea in mitigation to be given on that date.

Craig, who did not speak to address the court, was remanded on continuing bail.
