Takeaway boss on staff grope charges

A TAKEAWAY owner accused of slapping three female employees on their bottoms and groping their breasts has had the matter adjourned for eight weeks after he took up his bail.

The man, who is in his 40s, is also alleged to have got into bed with an employee who was living in an apartment over the takeaway.

Judge Bridget Reilly adjourned the matter until May to allow the man speak to his solicitor.

The accused appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court on bail after he lodged a sum of cash.

He is charged with seven counts of sexual assault.

The alleged incidents took place between November 2011 and May 2012 at a takeaway in south Dublin.

It is alleged that the three women were working for the accused in the takeaway when they were sexually assaulted.

The court heard the DPP has directed summary disposal of the matters in the District Court.

Garda Barry Cormack previously alleged the man sexually assaulted three members of his staff on seven occasions.

Garda Cormack also alleged the man slapped the women on their bottoms and groped their breasts.
