Man faces trial over €11k damage to empty house
THIS is the Dublin man who allegedly broke into a vacant house and caused over €11,000 worth of damage.
Graham Harcourt (32) is facing trial by judge and jury in the Circuit Court where the penalties are greater after the DPP ruled that the matters were too serious for the District Court.
Judge Anthony Halpin adjourned the case to a date in September for the service of the book of evidence.
The defendant, of Crannoge Close in Ballymun, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with burglary and criminal damage.
The alleged incident took place at a property at Hamptonwood Park, St Margaret's on April 24 last.
It is alleged that Harcourt and an accomplice caused €11,627 worth of damage to the property, which is owned by Dwyer Nolan Developments, after they broke in.
