A DUBLIN man has been charged with the murder of a father-of-two who died following a violent incident after a wedding.
Terry Connors (40) appeared before Dublin District Court charged with murdering Peter Conroy at a guesthouse in Palmerstown.
He was remanded in custody for a week.
The accused, with an address at Drumcairn Avenue, Tallaght, Dublin 24, is charged with murdering Mr Conroy at the Palmerstown Lodge B&B, Kennelsfort Road Lower, Palmerstown, on Tuesday.
Det Insp Colum O'Malley told the court that the accused replied "no" when the charge was put to him at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
He was handed a copy of the charge sheet.
Legal aid was granted following an application by defence solicitor Jeremy Ring.
No bail application was made as bail cannot be granted at district court level on a murder charge.
Judge Michael Walsh remand- ed the defendant in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court next Wednesday.
