Jobless dad accused of driving without licence

A FATHER of four accused of driving without insurance or a driving licence during an incident in south Dublin last year has had his case put back for three weeks.

Unemployed Glen Mallon (38) is also alleged to have refused to give his name and address to gardai.

A judge adjourned the matter to a date in April to allow Mallon to speak to his solicitor.

The defendant, of Main Road in Tallaght, appeared before Tallaght District Court accused of driving without insurance or a driving licence.

He arrived at court wearing wearing a balaclava and buttoned-up jacket.

The summonses relate to an alleged incident at Firhouse Road West in Tallaght on April 11 last year, when Mallon was stopped by gardai while driving a 2007 Meath-registered vehicle.
