A PRISON visitor caught bringing drugs into Mountjoy jail in her bra claimed she "forgot" they were there and had no intention of supplying them to her inmate brother.
Mother-of-two Jacqueline Kenny (40) had cannabis and methadrone tablets on her, as well as a prescribed drug, when sniffer dogs alerted prison officers and she was stopped.
A judge adjourned the case against her for the production of a probation report.
Kenny, with an address at Cherry Orchard Grove, Ballyfermot, pleaded guilty to a charge of conveying drugs into a prison on October 16, 2009.
A garda told the court the accused was passing through security on her way to visiting her brother when a sniffer dog indicated the presence of drugs.
When she was searched the drugs were found in her bra and she was arrested and taken to Mountjoy Garda Station. The drugs were found to be €8 worth of cannabis, methadrone tablets worth €50, and another €30 worth of a legal drug.
Judge David Anderson adjourned the case to May 5.
