In brief: Boy (15) on sex assault charges
A 15-year-old boy who sexually assaulted two 13-year-old girls in the grounds of a Dublin school has had a two-year sentence deferred for a year.
The boy, who was also 13 at the time and cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to sexual assault at the school in April 2009.
Detective Sergeant Ronan Murphy said the assault came to light after there was a sex education course at the school.
Teen in court over cannabis
A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was charged with possessing a quantity of cannabis for sale or supply.
The boy appeared at the Dublin Children's Court accused of unlawfully possessing cannabis and possession with intent to supply to another at his home address, on June 2.
Judge O'Neill granted legal aid to the boy and remanded him on bail with a curfew condition.
