Dog's killer is shot with Taser

The alarm was raised when a woman reported a man was attacking his pet spaniel with a knife in County Durham.
Armed officers were called in and the man made threats to them, refusing to comply with instructions, so they used a baton round and then a Taser to subdue him.
He was arrested on suspicion of affray and medically examined, then questioned.
