Cousins bailed on raid charge

TWO teenage cousins aged 14 and 17 have been charged with stealing €2,000 worth of jewellery during a house burglary in Dublin.

The pair are accused of taking part in a burglary at Mulvey Park, in Dundrum, on January 18 last.

The Dublin Children's Court heard the boys and one of their uncles, who was not before the court, were stopped in a car, from which gardai recovered a screwdriver and knuckle-dusters.

The pair, who are from Tallaght in Dublin, were bailed to appear again on April 18 next.

German national Christian Gerhartsreiter became notorious after his arrest several years ago in Baltimore when he spun elaborate tales about his past and claimed to be a member of the Rockefeller family.

He was charged yesterday with killing 27-year-old John Sohus in 1985 in San Marino, Los Angeles.
