Court told father 'bit into hand of guard'

A FATHER-of-two has been accused of biting and injuring a security guard's hand at an industrial estate car park.

Edward O'Reilly (27) is alleged to have bitten into the man's thumb. He is facing assault and theft charges and the case against him was adjourned at Blanchardstown District Court to December 12.

O'Reilly, with an address at Fonthill Cottages, Clondalkin, is charged with assault causing harm to a man at Intel Car Park, Collinstown Industrial Estate, Leixlip on August 8, 2013.

He is also charged with stealing catalytic converters, causing criminal damage to a vehicle's exhaust and possession of a saw for use in the course of a theft.
