Boy stole car radios
A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was left "institutionalised" after he was in the controversial Ballydowd Special Care Unit, a court heard.
The boy was before the Children's Court where he pleaded guilty to possessing two stolen car radio sets, in Ballyfermot, in Dublin, on April 9 last year.
The boy had pleaded guilty earlier to getting into a stolen vehicle, in west Dublin on May 2 last year.
Ballydowd was the subject of a damning report by the Health Information and Quality Authority in 2009.
The case was adjourned until next month.
