Cope set to leave Ladbrokes

LADBROKES chief executive Jim Mullen said Damian Cope is leaving.

Cope headed a review of Ladbrokes' Irish division, which has been placed under examinership. Plans for the Irish business remain on hold until that process is completed, Mr Mullen added.

"Our international businesses each have strong management teams and do not require extensive support from a centrally-based international team," he said. Ladbrokes hopes to merge with UK-based Coral.
