TOP comedians Ross Noble and Jason Manford are to tread the boards in Dublin when Broadway show The Producers hits Dublin's Bord Gais Theatre next year.
Stand-up comic Noble previously played a deranged clown in Irish-shot horror comedy flick Stitches, while Manford has made appearances on Channel 4's Eight Out of Ten Cats.
The show is based on Mel Brooks' beloved movie and tells the story of two theatrical producers who scheme to get rich by overselling interests in a Broadway flop. Complications arise when the show unexpectedly turns out to be successful.
Noble will play Franz Liebkind - the short-fused former Nazi, brought on board by Max Bialystok and Leo Bloom to help them in their plot.
"I am very excited about appearing in The Producers. I am a huge fan of the show," he said.
Manford plays downtrodden accountant Leo Bloom who is recruited by producer Bialystock to help him pull off the scam.
The stellar production has taken Broadway and the West End by storm and has won a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards and three Olivier Awards since debuting in 2001.
The show will be in the Bord Gais Theatre from Monday, July 6, until Saturday July 11, 2015, and tickets are on sale now.
