Coke sees profit triple
SOFT drinks giant Coca-Cola says fourth-quarter profit more than tripled as worldwide sales increased by 6pc.
The group said the profits were aided by a one-time $5bn non-cash gain related to the acquisition of its north American bottling operations and net income advanced to $5.77bn (€4.26bn).
Coca-Cola, led by chief executive Muhtar Kent (above), now controls 90pc of its north America beverage distribution.
Net income in the fourth quarter of 2009 was $1.54bn.
